Boris Johnson hey? The thing l like about Boris he is so unlike any other politician; when he is on television he frequently makes me smile when other MPs make me want to change the channel.

The best I can offer in return is I had an event through work at the House of Lords.

He is definitely different. The face to face Boris was even more impressive than the TV one. Sadly he doesn’t have a blog, and there are about half a dozen people pretending to be him on Facebook. I’ve never been into the House of Lords, so you are ahead of me there, Kate!

Unfortunately it wasn’t in to the actual debating chamber, but one of the conference rooms.

I think the Houses of Parliament are a fantastic building; I often walk past it when I go to London for meetings and I am in awe of what our ancestors built. On the occasion I actually went inside I was amused by our eccentricities because I went in via Black Rod’s garden entrance.

It has a great sense of history - although a lot of technology these days. I was surprised by how many blackberries were around the place. Not allowed in the house though, as I understood it.
